International Student Associations
Our student community is incredibly diverse, with over 4,000 international students from over 100 countries. Find friends from a similar background or meet people from different cultures by joining one of our many international student associations. Student associations offer students a social place next to their studies.
Nijmegen is the largest of the three cities with a population of approx. 170,000 people. It has a large academic university as well as a large university of applied sciences, which it shares with Arnhem. Because of these, the student life is arguably more active than in Arnhem.
ISON is the umbrella organisation of International Student Organisations Nijmegen. The purpose of ISON is to stimulate internationalisation among students of Nijmegen and this is done through cooperation of the five main international student organisations.
We are an international student organisation in Nijmegen, and hope to provide every student with the best international experience! Our aim is to provide meaningful intercultural experiences to all students in Nijmegen, whether they are here as an international or as a Dutch student.
Radboud International Students (RIS) is student-run and dedicated to helping international students studying at Radboud University to make the most of their stay in the Netherlands. In cooperation with the International Office, RIS organises the Orientation and several other social activities like Culture Shock workshops and the farewell reception.
Wageningen is much smaller than the other two cities ( population of around 40,000 people) but is home to a highly successful academic university. This allows the city centre to be way more vibrant than you would expect from such a small town. Its rural surroundings are ideal for the agricultural foundation of the university and make for an attractive place to live.
We are dedicated to provide a safe space for communities in Wageningen, especially international students and staffs, during their time in the city. We are to ensure effective integration of cultures for both local and international students, staff and residents of wageningen. We highlight cultural diversity to encourage a global interactive community within Wageningen to ensure that it is a home away from home for all its occupants.
ESN Wageningen is an international student organization for both international and Dutch students. We are part of the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) which is located all over Europe! We will make your time in Wageningen unforgettable because we organize more than 100 social, cultural, integration, travel and sports events throughout the year.
We are IAAS Netherlands. One of the more than 100 committees IAAS World has. IAAS is the biggest student association for Agriculture and Related Sciences. It gives you the opportunity to exchange knowledge, attend international events and much more :)
Arnhem is Gelderland's capital and accommodates different universities of applied sciences, but no academic universities. Arnhem has a population of approx. 160,000 people. The city centre is vibrant, with an inspiring artsy vibe due to the influence of ArtEZ.
This organization aims to foster a vibrant international student life and to help ease the integration process and stay of international students at the HAN University of Applied Sciences in Arnhem. We organize many different events, workshops, trips and social gatherings to meet our goal of creating a home-like atmosphere in the Netherlands, and assisting in and advocating for the well-being of the students throughout the duration of their studies.
